The Word is True - Creme Brulee French Toast is to die for; that's not new news. The Philly "Womelette" is delicious as well. Wash it down with a spicy bloody mary! My favorite place to eat in Salem!

The corned beef hash was amazing. Ask for a side of sour kraut and swap the bread for a bowl of fruit! I cleaned the plate.

With room only for nine cars plus a handicapped space, parking can be tight. Luckily there's usually ample parking one block east along 18th Street Northeast.

This was once my actual neighborhood bistro. Even now that I'm an hour away, whenever I'm driving through Salem, I make sure to stop by Word of Mouth, especially for breakfast. Enjoy!
